MA Permanent Makeup Academy offers in-person permanent makeup training in Los Angeles, taught inside a working studio by a practicing artist.
Permanent makeup is a skill built on three things: understanding the skin, understanding color, and understanding design. Training is what turns those three into consistent, predictable results on real clients.
The course covers the fundamentals every result depends on — how different skin types hold pigment, how color behaves as it heals, how shape and proportion are mapped to an individual face, and how to work safely and hygienically. Technique matters, but technique without these fundamentals is what produces work that looks good on day one and disappointing a month later.
Training is held in person only. Learning happens in an active studio, not a classroom detached from daily practice, which means the techniques taught are the ones currently producing healed results on real clients.
The training is conducted in Russian only.

Is the training online or in person, and what language is it taught in? In person only, at the studio on Westwood Blvd in Los Angeles. You train inside a working studio rather than a classroom. The training is conducted in Russian only. Обучение проводится только на русском языке.
What is included in each course format? Full Course — $4,900. Seven days of training, six live models, and one month of free workspace at the studio after you finish. Essential Course — $3,450. Five days of training and three live models.
Do I choose between brows, lips and scalp? No. There is one general course. It is not split into separate directions.
When does the next course start? Start dates are arranged individually. Message us and we will set a date that fits your schedule.
Who teaches the course? Alena, founder of MA Permanent Makeup Studio & Academy — over 8 years in permanent makeup and more than 17 years in the beauty industry. Her path began in Moscow and continued in Los Angeles.
How is the course taught? Around structure, anatomy and clarity. Artists are taught to think like designers: proportion, color and control. Every lesson is built on real application rather than theory.
Do I need previous experience? No. Previous experience in permanent makeup is not required to take the course.
Who provides the live models? The studio provides the models. You are also welcome to bring your own.
